This course provides learners with the necessary information to undertake and document DSE risk assessment. It gives an insight into the legislation and background behind DSE assessment and examines the implication of incorrect DSE usage. The course incorporates a practical session covering how to set up and use a workstation correctly.
This course is suitable for those in a supervisory or managerial role responsible for carrying out, or reviewing, current DSE risk assessments.
DSE training is a legal requirement under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 (as amended in 2002). These regulations mandate that employers must provide adequate training to employees who regularly use DSE. DSE training helps employees understand how to set up their workstations ergonomically to minimise the risk of musculoskeletal problems and other health issues related to computer use.
